Re: Weight Watchers or Atkins | | I have tried WW twice. I lost weight both times 35 lbs the first time (gained it back within a couple of years) and then about 10 lbs the second time (gained it back within a few months). I was sooooo one of the naysayers about Atkins when my sister did it a few years ago, but after reading the book and some other articles regarding Atkins, I was interested. Now that I've actually been on it for two weeks, I am convinced.
On WW I was constantly thinking about my next snack or meal because I was constantly hungry. I would plan out my points and try to space out my food but I would get halfway through the day and have eaten all my points for the day. It was really hard, there were some great recipes though.
We are doig Atkins here at work, but we still have a WW hold out. Atkins just isn't for her, she likes pasta, bread, etc and doesn't want to give it up. However, she is really struggling seeing and smelling all of the yummy food we are bringing to work.
Do I miss bread and the like, you bet I do, but I try to look more at what I get to eat instead of what I can't eat. Ultimately, you have to figure out which one fits better with your personality and lifestyle. |
