Re: Another 50+ member | | hi Debbie and Desertthorn...thank you for stopping by my journal and leaving messages..... you are right, there are so many obstacles we face that the younger people don't have - but we can and WILL overcome them...it just might take us a little longer.
I've been waxing philosophical so much lately -- I guess the fact that this WOE is really working for me and it seems almost effortless that I'm just so afraid I'll wake up and it's all a dream. I read the journals to keep inspired and I look at the before/after pics that are posted for additional inspiration. There are days I want to jump forward to the end and not have to worry about this anymore, but I've done those diets....that doesn't work. I was notorious for fad diets throughout my 20's and 30's - in my 40's I decided I didn't care....and now I'm in my 50's and the cold hard reality has hit that I have to do this the right way - slowly and enjoy the journey.
