Re: A question about FitDay, also stopped losing weight | | Hi Amanda,
First, congratulations for the 5 lbs lost!
Now... While you are indeed following a low-carb diet, you are not following Atkins. If you started 12 days ago, you should still be in induction. However, soy and peanuts are not induction foods... and neither is wine. The list of foods acceptable during induction is here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...induction.html (What foods can be eaten on Induction?)
You should be eating max. 20 g of net carbs in induction. Most of these carbs should come from vegetables (i.e. more than half). Also, Atkins is a high-fat diet, so most of your calories should come from fat. During induction, you should aim for approx. 65% fat, 5% carbs and 30% protein.
I see you found the info about net carbs, so that is down.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
