Default FAGE Ice Cream

I like this more than real ice cream. I had 200 g of FAGE Total and made two ice cream desserts out of it.

The first one...

100 g FAGE
1/2 tbsp lemon zest
1/3 tsp vanilla
1/2 package Splenda
1/3 tsp cocoa

Mix everything but the cocoa and freeze**. Sprinkle with cocoa before serving.

Calories: 135; Fat: 10.0 g; Protein: 6.8 g; Carbs: 3.8 g; Dietary fiber: 0.3 g; Net carbs: 3.5 g

And the second...

100 g FAGE
1 tbsp sliced almonds
13 g grated Lindt 99% Cocoa chocolate, i.e. 1/4 of the 50 g bar (I actually cut it with a knife to resemble the pieces of chocolate you find in stracciatella ice cream)

Mix everything and freeze**.

Calories: 248; Fat: 20.8 g; Protein: 10.5 g; Carbs: 5.9 g; Fiber: 1.8 g; Net carbs: 4.1 g

**I left it overnight in the freezer, but I think you could also do it in an ice cream maker. I don't own one, so not sure about that.

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
