Re: who are you going to show off your weight loss to? | | Hi,
I found this thread interesting. So here goes. I studied medicine in Europe and graduated at my highest weight ever. The photos were one of the things that got me serious about turning my life around. Also, if I hope to be able to help my patients with thier health, then I think that I should live in a way that sets a good role model. So, I'm looking forward to seeing my colleagues again later this year and being slim and in shape. There is a plastic surgeon from Greece, orthopedic surgeon from Libya pediatrician from UAE and a pathologist also from Greece (plus others) - but they are my close friends.
My mental image is that I will get off the plane and they will be waiting for me in the airport, but when I walk down the ramp and into the crowd.... although they are waiting for me - they won't even recognize me!!! I use this image to motivate me a lot. It is exciting and fun.
Anyhow, good luck to you and let's make those images a reality. I'm close to halfway there. I had 70 lbs to lose. It's coming, but slowly...
Ciao. S-
