Re: Where is everyone? | | Thanks for the input Carole. First of all keep up the great work. That's an outstanding result. Plus you're absolutely right about not comparing ourself with each other. I'm just so greatful that I'm loosing anything at all and that at least I lose something every week even if it's a small amount. I think it's a bit easier for me to avoid comparisons since I measure my weight in kg's.
You know I started this thing as a last resort. I was briefly on insulin while trying to get pregnant and it did nothing for me except put on 7kg's in a month. So when I went to the doctor for my most recent Hb1ac and it read 12.5 I knew I had to do something. The doctor also weighed me and said that if I was 126kg's then maybe I should consider lapbanding as a solution. WHAT THE !!!
Well I weighed in this morning and have lost a total of 14kg's (26lb) in 9 weeks. I don't care if others have lost more or faster than me. I'm just so glad that something is finally working and my BGL's are way down. I'm due to have a 24 hr urine test done this week for my kidney function and another Hb1ac in a week or so. I'll post with hopefully some great results.
