How true. It also doesn't help that the so called healthy diet that most dietitians and GP's advocate for diabetics is low fat and still relatively high in carbohydrates. There was no way I could control my blood sugar using the diet I'd been given which made me feel even more of a failure. It's a pity that more people don't advocate Atkins for diabetics.
