Default Re: My vitamins list

Oops, sorry your post got overlooked. Let's see...

Your supplements look really good, imo. I'm not sure how much calcium is in your multivitamins... The AI for calcium is 1000 mg and the UL is 2500 mg. If you eat 4 oz of cheese, you get about 1000 mg. As long as the total is below the UL though, there is no reason to worry.

For insomnia, Dr. Atkins recommended melatonin (3 mg). Calcium, magnesium and some B vitamins (B5, B6, B12) should also help.

I don't think taking all supplements at once will cause you any harm. Some of us however get nauseated from them and then we have to spread them throughout the day and/or take them with a larger meal.

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
