Default Re: Has anyone started with a goal of 50lb or less to lose?

I know taking 1 year to lose 30lbs can feel kind of daunting, but I remind myself of a few things to keep from getting frustrated too much.
-My highest weight was 250 and I started atkins at 226. So I lost about 25lbs before I started, but it took me two years to do that.
-Its a heck of a lot better than getting to your next birthday and weighing more. I've done the "oh i'll lose this much by my birthday" thing a LOT. My birthday is in 9 days, and this is the first time in my life i'll weight less on this birthday than my last one.
-slow and steady is good. It didn't take a couple months to put it on, why should it take less than that to get rid of it?
