First of all, buy a copy of Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution, 2002. Read the book. The book will give you an actual list of Rules for beginning Atkins and exactly what is on the list for foods you are allowed to eat.

I can only tell you that I've gone from having to have oral medications for my diabetes along with two insulin injections every day to being off all medications.

Yes, I had a lot of weight to lose, but you can do it and you need to do it for yourself and for your baby.

I'd also suggest that you go to an educational program at the local hospital for people with diabetes to know how to take care of yourself. Having said that, I will tell you that some people aren't fans of Atkins, but they can't argue with eating beef, poultry and fish and vegetables and some fats.
