Congratulations on quitting smoking! That's a major accomplishment!

Your weight loss will probably be slower with the hypothyroid condition (I think I have it, too) but the weight does come off.

Just commit to Atkins as a way of life and don't worry about how long it takes. The health benefits begin almost immediately.

Also, don't stay on induction too long. Climb the rungs, but climb them slowly if you are hypothyroid. The additional foods you can add allows you to eat gourmet meals which are more satisfying and delicious than those I ate before Atkins.

So glad you have a supportive hubby.
