Re: Not Losing? Maybe you are a "Wait and Whoosh" body type | | I think it is important not to let the scale be your only source of inspiration. One of the things that helps me stay on the diet is that I chose to eat the food I like that is diet legal, I watch portion size reasonably, I check to see if I feel good physically and mentally and look forward to doing it again tomorrow. It takes trial and error to find out what works for you.
I find that as people experiment with their diets when something goes wrong they either give up or get upset at themselves etc. It is a lot like learning to ride a bicycle. You will fall in the beginning, you will wobble too, but in the end you get better and better at finding out what works for you if you are patient with yourself and persevere as you would learning to ride.
I would suggest that a good diet is one that you actually enjoy. I have always liked Atkins, low carb is the one way I always lose weight when I want to, but it took a while for me to find out what foods I really like, how to prepare them and what made a balanced meal for me. One thing that is important for me is to change the menu often so I don't get bored with it.
