Default Re: Can you help explain my rapid weight loss?

So with all this finger pointing I thought I might offer some constructive information. Your main question is Why are you losing weight so fast?

I can understand why you would be worried about this as losing that fast is probably taking a big toll on your body. My suggestion is to start adding the vegetables in to your diet. This will surely slow your weight loss to a healthier level. Science has proven that if you lose weight too rapidly you are more likely to gain it all back plus extra.

I can understand some of what others are saying about trying to follow DANDR 2002 as close as possible. The main reason for doing so is to lay the correct foundation for a good steady healthy weight loss and provide you with the tools (knowledge) to change bad habits which in turn helps you maintain that loss.

This is a process that isn't going to happen over night. Lets face it, there are alot of people on this board that jump into Atkins without ever reading the book which can also be seen as not doing Atkins appropriately. Many of us wean ourselves off of caffiene (being that the book says 'should avoid' rather than 'must avoid'). Rather than bashing someone for what they are doing wrong I'd rather support them and try to help them through one of the toughest times of their life.

So, if you have any other specific questions I am sure that their are many of us that would like to try to help. It sounds like you have an understanding of what you should be doing but need to work up the will power to do it. As hard as it may be to do so, the best step is to read the book. I keep mine at home and when I hit a wall I go back through it. EVERYTIME I find something I am doing WRONG or not doing exactly RIGHT. Nobody's perfect.
