You do not have to eat 20 net carbs. 14 for example is also fine. You should be eating 3 cups of vegetables, with maximum 1 cup of these coming from the "Other Vegetables" list. Then you select the other foods you eat (from the Induction list) in such a way that over half of your net carbohydrates come from vegetables. If the total comes out at 14 net carbs or 12 or 16, it's okay.
