Advil has an enteric coating; a unique sugar coating that makes them easy to swallow.. It is put on certain medications to reduce their harsh effects on the stomach lining. It tastes sweet to attract consumers so they will buy it, because most pain relievers have a bitter taste.

If you take pain relievers that come in capsule or caplet form, you can avoid the coatings that they put on some medications...
