Re: Needing Help! | | No. Guys lose faster in general. The amount of weight you lose also depends on how much "extra" weight you have and on your reaction to certain foods. Your caloric requirement is also lower than his, so if both of you eat, let's say, 1800 calories, he'll lose more since he probably burns more. Same thing about exercise. There really are a lot of factors that determine how much/fast one loses weight.
In my opinion, 12 lbs in a month is great. That's 3 lbs/week and 25% of the weight you want to lose!
