I was on atkings about 10 years ago and I would weigh every day and when I did not lose for a few days i would get discouraged and say screw it. I don't want to go there this time.

I am using ketostix and have been in ketosis since day 3. My energy level exploded on days 4-5 and has yet to slack off. I feel fantastic and I have had to poke new holes in my belts in order to hold up my pants that are now falling off (lol). My wife hugged me the other day and she got excited that she could put her arms all the way around me and hold her hands together (woo hoo)

I wear dress clothes and a tie to work every day and prior to starting induction I could hardly button the top button on my shirts to put a tie on and now my shirts button easily and I have room to spare. I am focusing on how good I feel and how my clothes are fitting rather than how many lbs I have lost. I know that if I am still in ketosis and if my clothes are getting too big that its working.

Any advice or response appreciated.

Great job Tim,
I'm 54 days into the program and lost 42 lbs. as of today. You are right in saying that the main thing is to stay with the program. I weigh at the same time every day in the morning. ONE TIME! In the last 3 weeks I've lost 13 lbs (4,4,5) and I've added a "little" bit more carbs to spice up the diet and have had a couple of days when I had a rounded meal w/ bread and potatos. My weight may not change for a day or two and then BAM 2 lbs or more. I don't know why this is but I accept that it's the way things are working. I had one wk end when I gained 3 lbs. and I know why!! But I quickly went to work and lost that and 4 more by the end of the week. The scales help me govern what's acceptable and what's not. I certainly understand why they can be a problem but when you know you're doing right, the scales will always support you and encourage you in the end. God bless and keep up the work!
