I'm hesitant to talk about "curing" diabetes. From personal experience, I'm on glyburide and metformin, cutting carbs allows me to ease back on my medications and keep normal tests. A strong low carb diet is the only thing that works for me.

I'd guess that things will improve as you lose weight and stay low carb.

But, since I'm not a doctor, that's just my personal opinion.
