Semi-hard is the same as semi-soft.

It is allowed on Induction. Maybe you can post here the link to that thread... that info certainly needs to be corrected.

Its cheese... I thought all cheeses were allowed?
Not all cheeses. Fresh cheeses like ricotta and cottage cheese are only allowed in OWL Rung 2.

I am trying to cut back on my cheese consumption, but I really look forward to cheese, especially since I am not really a meat eater (I am a carboholic and lived on CARBS with a tiny bit of meat) to begin with, the cheese makes it all more palatable. I seriously eat cheese 3-4 times a day, even before Atkins, now I eat it more though. The cheese chips are my life saver!!
As John said, cheese is limited to 3-4 oz per day. Many people experience constipation or a stall in their weight loss if they overeat cheese. It is also a food that is difficult to control for some of us (sounds familiar? ), because it has a high casein concentration. This casein is broken down by some enzymes into casomorphins (opiates), which have a morphin-like effect... hence the addiction.

This morning the thought of bacon and eggs (again) or left over chicken just made my stomach bubble with nausea, so I had 2 string cheese sticks instead.
I think you're in ketosis...

Don't forget to have some veggies for lunch and dinner.

Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
