You are only supposed to eat until your hunger is satisfied, then stop. It does not matter if there is food left on your plate or carbs in your budget. Also that is enough protein for a whole day. If you are having protein at other meals as well, that could be your problem. Excess protein converts to glucose. I hope this helps.
