Default Re: is the Diet Dangerous?

I have arthritis in my hands and feet - since I started Atkins my joints have stopped hurting because I'm not putting chemically concocted food into my body. I don't drink or eat anything with aspartame in it, 95% of the time I eat at home so I know exactly what is in each mouthful.

You say you have panic attacks when on the diet -- I have just the opposite - I haven't had a single panic attack since I've been on plan and I'm a Type 2 diabetic so I HAVE to keep my sugar levels low. There are meds you can get for panic - I was on them for awhile but have learned how to function without them and have been able to keep what triggered them under control.

The food I now eat is wholesome it has little to no preservatives, chemicals or other crap. Unlike Nutri-system and Jenny Craig my meals don't come out of a box with plastic wrap on top. I don't have to count points or calories like on Weight Watchers. I eat food that tastes good and is my choice.

You say you have "so much anger that i am and was overweight for my whole life" - then use that anger to your advantage - get on plan the right way (not your way) according to the 2002 DANDR book, start an exercise plan immediately, drink AT LEAST 64 ounces of pure water a day and take supplements. The plan won't work if you don't follow it so your success is up to you. There are too many people who have success stories on this site for this to be a dangerous way of eating....I wouldn't put my health at risk if it were. If you really thought it was dangerous why would you be considering it?

Is this diet dangerous - not by a long shot.
