Ordering any food with sauces can be awkward in a restaurant as you will need to be adamant about avoiding the starches and sugar usually added to commercial products.

If the staff can assure you there is no flour/starch/sugar then the sauces should be fine - but often they don't know themselves (or even say it is OK without checking )

Sometimes saying you would have medical problems if they do contain them can get truthful answers, as no restaurant wants to be sued for making their customers ill

Best to ask for no sauces or marinaded meats when ordering in a restaurant/cafe and choose instead to use butter (for hot foods) or oil & vinegar for salads.
