People point out the effect coffee may have, may being the key word here, on blood sugar/glucose levels. While they are accurate about the effect ... no one seems to mention that this is true for Type II Diabetics, or those prone to develop type II diabetes, according to the studies. In one study sedentary people were also included. The effect, tho not as pronounced, was evident in this group as well.
This is likely why some people find that coffee effects their weight loss and why others see no effect. It also points out how important that visit to the MD before starting any diet is important. If you know your glucose status when going into this diet .. you will have a better idea if coffee is going to be an issue for you.
