My desserts are sugar free cheese cake or ice cream with 1 oz of cream and a little water frozen. I do use Splenda and a drop of vanilla. I have come to love the diet even though I miss all the goodies. I have done Atkins twice and this time my weight loss has slowed down considerably but my diabetes has really come to a point that I can see the end of the tunnel. I hope all are well and continue to have confidence in this diet. I am surely going to give it my best. My weight has only dropped 14 pounds in 4 months but I am happy how I feel. Audrey |
The metformin, glyburide & insulin are keeping you from loosing faster than you do (I know from experience!!) but just remember when you loose the weight it's gone for good!
Great news on your A1C - that proves you are doing the right thing. Keep up the great work - move on to Owl Rung 1 when you can, added the additional 5 net carbs of veggies is really nice. Continued good luck to you!
