Default Re: Bought a Food dehydrator!

My co-worker has a lemon verbena plant and gave me a bunch of cuttings. I'm rooting a couple in the garden, but I'm dehydrating the rest. It makes a very nice herbal tea.

There's so much I want to try. I came across a recipe for zucchini chips, in which, the sliced zucchini is dried until crisp and eaten like snacks. So I want to do that eventually. And I remember reading a magazine about 10 years ago, where they made vegetable snacks (potatoes, turnips, carrots, green beans, etc.) using a microwave to dehydrate the vegetables. That technique worked well with potatoes, but I couldn't get it to work with other veggies. So maybe I'll experiment with things like peppers, etc.
