Default Re: I lost 2 lbs on the after first day?

Okay..... looks like we've got another addict among us...

Yes, the scale will also measure the stuff you eat, so if you drink 1 L of water and then weigh yourself, you'll be more than 2 lbs heavier.

Some of us prefer to weigh weekly. Others prefer to weigh daily. It depends... if the number on the scale influences your mood, then by all means don't weigh yourself daily --- fluctuations are perfectly normal and can be due to too much sodium, TOM, a slower digestion, water retention due to heat, etc.

I believe that the best way to overcome temptation is not with willpower, which is so often in short supply, but with our brain power, a potentially unlimited resource.

Imagine that you're doing great, losing weight, feeling better than ever, thrilled with yourself, hearing compliments from friends and acquaintances---and then it happens! Despite all your good intentions, you're mightily tempted by a food you're not supposed to have. What to do? I'll tell you this: You'd better have a strategy ready!"
