Default Re: I lost 2 lbs on the after first day?

My name is Jeannette and I'm a scale addict! Big Time!!

I restarted Atkins on June 19th after a two week carb party (talk about a hangover!!) and, as of today, I've lost 8 lbs. of the 10 lbs. I gained. I know it's water weight, carbs blow me up like a blowfish! One day I couldn't even find my ankle bones!

Here's what I've discovered about weighing. We've all been told to weigh ourselves first thing in the morning. So, I weigh myself first thing, then about 1/2 hour later, I weigh myself again. Why do I do this? Because I've found that my true weight is measured after that 1/2 hour. Of course, if I go to the gym that day, after I come home and shower, I will weigh again, because, even though I don't count it, I will weigh even less then. Don't know why this is so, but it is. And, of course, it's fun to watch the scale go down like that.

I can weight myself like that because when the scale goes up, I don't get all depressed or down on myself. I know what is going on in my body, so I just take a look at what I've been consuming, or in the case of water, not consuming, and go on.
