If frozen, thaw. Make sure the chicken is empty (sometimes butchers put some of the organs back in)

Some people like to rub the chicken all over with butter, including under he skin where possible. I also season mine with a general "italian seasoning" (sugar-free) but use what seasonings you like. Put the chicken in the crock-pot breasts up, put on the lid & cook on low 6-8 hours
I'm not a morning person, so I do most of this the night before & just take the chicken out of the fridge & turn on the crock pot in the morning. It's done when I get home from work
