hi and welcome Jim --- it sounds like you have a great plan which is a big part of the battle. Like Georgiana said, take your measurements along with your weight so you know where you are starting from.

Drink at least 64 ounces of water daily minimum to help flush the nasties out of the your system. Nothing added to that water except ice.
