Then to stay in ketosis 2 cups or less of Salad Vegetables inculding under 1 cup of Other Vegetables. I really have to be carefull with tomatoes and onions. | There are three ketone bodies: acetoacetate, beta-hydroxybutyrate (BHB) and acetone. Acetoacetate can be used for fuel or it can be converted into the other two ketones, BHB and acetone. Then you use ketones when sleeping, when exercising, or just when doing your random stuff. And to make matters worse, drinking a few extra glasses of water will dilute your pee, so the concentration of whatever you pee out will decrease. All these will affect the color on the stix since they only measure left over acetoacetate and only measure its concentration.
What about your physical signs of ketosis, like fruity breath, metalic taste in your mouth, change in the smell of your urine and/or sweat, increased energy, decreased appetite? Do these go away too?
