Default Re: Am i doing this right?

Hi Mandy

Welcome to our ADBB family

Do you have a copy of Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution? In it is a list of the allowed foods for induction which you will see includes 3 cups of vegetables, which should supply 'most' of your net carbs.

If you don't have your own copy you will be able to find the basic rules on this thread
http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...tion-faqs.html (Atkins Diet Induction FAQs)

A few things I spotted in your menus that are not according to the rules are
Nuts are not allowed till later on your Atkins joiurney (third level/rung of the second phase of Atkins.
You didnt list any veggies
Most of us avoid the shakes except for 'emergencies'.

Congratulations on losing those first few pounds - after the first few days Dr Atkins said we would start to lose fat as well as the initial 'woosh' of water that people lose when they start any diet. So you have probably got there now and are losing fat!!

Keep up the good work, add your veggies, drop the nuts and maybe the shakes and drink your water and I am sure you will be able to lose any excess fat you have at present.
