We do use the 3 cups/day rule - 2 cups from the salad veggies list & 1 cup from the other list. There is a sticky with weights/cup for each list...I'll go find it & post a link to it here...http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...p-measure.html (Weight of vegetables per cup measure)

Yes, max 20 carbs/day, most of those coming from veggies - so, for example, if you eat 18 carbs in a day, 10 or more should be from veggies.

It isn't that you were doing it "wrong", its that the diet has morphed over the years - Dr. Atkins improved on the 1972 version in his 2002 version, and Atkins Nutritionals (the corporation that makes the bars & shakes) changed it again since the doctor died. We choose to go by the last version that Dr. Atkins himself wrote.
