Re: YIKES ~ Almost Everything I have been taught up till now was WRONG??? | | No, we eat meat/fish until we are satisfied but not 'full' or 'stuffed'. Some people choose to count calories, but that is totally optional. Those of us who have portion control issues or can't tell physical hunger from mental 'want food' thoughts are working on re-training our brains to eat reasonably, calorie counting is a tool that helps us with that process. I also find it helpful for planning - I know approx how many calories I will need per meal - so I know how much to buy/cook.
