sarny if you only got a few months before a marathon you better get on the atkins diet asap
i just read this

http://www.musclehack.com/do-you-really-need-carbs-to-workout-effectively/

Some interesting observations here. Yes, the subjects did see a decrease in endurance after 1 week on the ketogenic diet but lets see what happens after 6 weeks.
Endurance time on the keto diet was significantly INCREASED over the baseline value. Also, the oxygen/energy cost of the test was significantly DECREASED compared to baseline.

and they never even ate all that much fat the atkins diet is super high fat so you will do even better just make sure you get on the atkins diet asap if you got a marathon in only 2 months

and i think some of the best foods to eat while training are

eggs, butter and red meat which promote maximum serum levels of the 3 muscle-building hormones:
  1. Testosterone
  2. Growth Hormone
  3. IGF-1
id recomend unsalted butter and broccoli is important to eat too
and theres lots of other healthy foods you can eat too while on atkins
