It might not keep you from going into ketosis, but it might, depending on how sensitive you are to carbs or if you are insulin resistant. A carb from sugar or a starch spikes your blood sugar much more than the exact carb count from a veggie or even nuts. Blood sugar spikes, requiring insulin, are what you are trying to avoid. You get into ketosis by the ratio of fat to carbs, so keep the fat high and the carbs low and you will be in ketosis in no time. |
