Eat the correct foods in the right porportions for your activity level or get up an move more and have more freedom in what you eat.
When you eat fat, the body is slower to break it down and get it into your bloodstream. So, you are fuller longer and more satisfied with what you eat. You have a steady stream of energy rather than the fast burst that carbs provide. Any fat you don't use is not just flushed magicly from the body it is stored, just the same, as anything else.
