Re: The Scoop On Stevia | | Pre-Atkins, I tried Agave Nectar once since it was a natural product but found it to be like syrupy sugar water. And of course it did have calories, etc. So I just went back to honey and stevia, thinking at least in honey it was a very local product (bought at the farmers market) and I was getting some nutritional benefits I would not have been getting with the agave syrup. I have no idea what the glycemic count on honey is versus agave, just tried not to use too much and used stevia more often though it wasn't local because it had no calories.
