Re: why is it so hard??? | | Oh now, please don't make fun of us mathematically challenged people! I'm 42 and I can still almost be reduced to tears when someone pulls out 7 cents after I've already rung in the payment!!
But ask me to spell something and I've got the market cornered!
Some of us out there just aren't wired very well for numbers, so I feel for that poor little girl behind the till!
Re: the no biscuit episode, make sure you call and talk to a manager! The world has to know that we are out there and that we aren't going away anytime soon, so you'll make life easier for yourself and the other low-carbers who want to eat out.
Managers want and need to know when their staff is being rude to people, and staff members need to at least learn manners. A polite "Just one moment, please!" and then "What the heck does this woman want??!!!" in the privacy of the kitchen amongst the other staff is perfectly fine...lol, but they need to learn to present a good face to the public.
It's like that episode of Friends where either Monica or Rachel looks at Phoebe and says "Remember how we talked about saying it in your head first and then talking?" |
