Default Re: I'm new here -This HAS to be my last diet!

Hi Stomper, and welcome!

It's always good when one can find a way-of-life diet that works for them. I've tried the Zone and South Beach which didn't work too well for me. Atkins is working great!! While my 'beginning" weight is in the mid-170 pounds, my maximum weight (a few months ago) was 185...I am happy to be slowly losing

I think many people say that the Atkins diet is "unsafe" because they think it's an all protein diet, which is not true. One of my friends said she thought it would be unsafe because she doesn't believe in "depriving" oneself of healthy foods. I eat meats, fats (no trans of course), cheese, veggies...how is that unhealthy LOL.

In addition to the book, this bulletin board is fantastic. Not only for the support and wonderful advice, but there are some incredibly yummy recipes!! Take a peek at the cooking/recipe section...you'll be very pleased.

Lisa

p.s. Happy Friday!
