I know I just joined here, but you would not believe, or maybe you already know, how this diet is helping with my diabetes. I don't even take my meds anymore. Before I started Atkins, my Blood Sugar was around 140, fasting and would reach up to 270 after I ate. It rarely fell below 200 throughout the day. Now, it has been as low as 83 and only as high as 140. I have one more reason to make this diet mine for life! It feels good knowing that I'm in control, not a stupid pill! My average blood glucose number is 117. I test at different times just to make sure my body is processing everything ok. I don't always wait the full 2 hours after a meal.

I've accomplished something that I am very proud of! Now I just wanna fit into a size 16 jeans and I'll be a happy as a pig in you-know-what!
