Default Re: Just starting out

mommy, my tips for success on the 2nd time around are as follows:
1) Make your food BETTER than everyone else's. Check out the food and recipes forum on this site (down below) and then check out this site http://users3.ev1.net/~fontlady/
2) Follow the plan as Dr. Atkins outlines it in his book. Don't be afraid to do your 2 weeks induction and then start adding foods back in. I didn't do it the first time around, and when I got bored, I failed...miserably. This time around, I'm adding foods back in and balancing my diet, having variety and being 100% satisfied...thereby being able to resist the temptations that surround us every day.
3) Learn the difference between thirst and hunger. When you get a signal that you are hungry, drink water. If in 10 minutes you are still hungry, EAT! This way, you'll learn the subtle difference between the two.

Good Luck!!! IMO this is a plan I can follow for the rest of my life, and fully intend to do so.
