I'm absolutely terrible sometimes about eating out. It's so hard for me not to cave in and have something just full of carbs that I know I'm not supposed to have, even if it's just a few bites. And I always feel guilty.
Today I went with my family to move my nephew into his college dorm ( I can't believe he's a college freshman already, but that's another story...

). As family members we were given tickets to have a free meal at our choice of several places on the campus and it flashed through my mind that I should "have something good... shouldn't waste a free meal".. LOL.
I had a chefs salad with ham, boiled egg, chopped tomato.... a little 2 oz. bag of cheddar cheese cubes... and a bottle of water. That's what I ate while everybody else was eating pizza and subs and hot chocolate chip cookies, and I was soooo proud of myself!
And on top of that I probably walked 5 miles on campus today! It probably sounds silly to a lot of people, but today was a huge success for me.
