Ok - Tuesday has been much better than Monday was. I made a 2 egg omelet for breakfast (1 oz grilled peppers, 1/2 oz onion, 1 oz ham and 1oz cheddar cheese) with 1Tbsp salsa on top....YUMMIE!!!!

After lunch I rode 10 miles on the bike...then mowed the lawn. Lunch was 2 cups of tossed salad (colored peppers, green onion, cucumber, radishes, celery and lettuce) with 2 Tbsp Hidden Valley ranch dressing and 2 oz leftover fried chicken. I did the 3 day of the 30 day Shred with Jillian Michaels. I ate 3 halves of deviled eggs around 3:00 because my blood sugar was low -- when I checked it the reading was 72.

We are having pork steak for dinner (fried) - I'm going to have cottage cheese and broccoli with mine. Yummie -- again!!!

Have a great Atkins food day!!

Last night we had a turkey breast for dinner. It was so good to eat something different for a change. There is more than half of it leftover so we'll be eating it for a couple days (YUM!!). I had some mixed veggies, a salad and mashed cauliflower with mine. A little veggie laden but I hadn't done well getting enough veggies in during the day and the servings weren't large ones.

We are having "Atkins" style meatloaf for dinner (no crackers - pork rinds are used in mine to act as the binder).

I just finished breakfast - 2 scrambled eggs with 1/2oz onion, 1/2oz green pepper and 1 ounce of cheese....then 1 Tbsp of salsa on top. I also had 3 small slices of bacon.
You KNOW I'll be having turkey for lunch - probably a turkey wrap (lettuce)...LOL!!!

We're heading out to the grocery store to take advantage of a couple sale items that were in the ads. Have a great Atkins food day!!

Well I'm back....spent the night in the hospital and now have a few extra pounds thanks to the IV they stuck in my arm after my head was sewn up. I was with a friend in her car when we were hit by another car, the back of my head hit the metal bar between the doors - I have 7 stitches in the side of my head but I was seeing double when the EMT's got there so they took me to the hospital "just in case" - the doctor in the ER thought it would be best to keep me overnight for observation because I have a slight concussion - so bring out the IV and jab me then bring in the insulin because my blood sugar was high. Brenda is ok - she was a little sore but nothing else...she felt real bad about me, but like I told her it wasn't her fault.

OMG - try eating something decient at the hospital when you don't have any say in your meal...I ask for low carb ... well, I managed to eat the salad and part of a piece of salty chicken (yuck). This morning they brought me oatmeal (yea, real low carb) so I ask for scrambled eggs and bacon in place of that meal - and they were nice enough to get it for me. I have weight to get off now but it shouldn't take much time.

So, once again I start....sometimes it's exasperating but I'll get to my goal.

I laid back down a few minutes after I posted the last post and slept on and off for about an hour. I'm trying to get my water in today (I've gotten 120oz in so far and that's enough if I don't get any more in). I got up and had dinner around 7:00 and now I'm just sitting here hoping the headache will go away. I called and ask if I can take a couple Tylenol or Motrin and they said Tylenol was ok. I hope I can get a good nights sleep tonight because I didn't last night. I think the disolving stitches are what is bothering me because the glue on the outside doesn't hurt a bit. I don't think they needed to take quite as much hair off as they did, but luckily I don't have my hair real long anytime so it won't take long until it's the same length again.

I had a turkey wrap (turkey, letuce and cheddar cheese wrapped in lettuce) and a salad for dinner. It really tasted good.

I'll be back tomorrow.

Oh my goodness, what a terrible thing to happen, Carole

I am glad to read that you are back home safely and starting to recover.

You did well in forcing the hospital to supply a breakfast more in tune with your way of eating espite feeling rough

Hope it is oK to jump in here I have been off plan AGAIN and back to the 2wk induction again. I have decided that I am going to follow the menus in here that others have succeeded with. Well the best I can with the food I have. I sure can't afford those steaks ones twice a day. I found that before I messed up I was not eating enough calories so I have never actually lost any more than a few pounds on this diet and I am sure it is my own fault. So I figure if I follow a menu as close as possable maybe I will succeed this time. I do drink lots of the water and I do 1/2 hour aerobics three times a week and walk 3+ miles the other days.
Well It is nice to find a thread where people come to everyday. I need all the daily help I can get

hi Hilda -- glad you stopped in. Find what legal foods you like best and can afford and eat them - you are right, you have to eat enough or else your body will work against the plan. I sent you the recipe sites on your thread earlier tonight, find a copule things you like and make them, if it's too much cut the recipe in half so you don't have so much leftover. I tend to make things that will freeze easily - it's also nice so I don't have to cook everynight if I don't want to. A couple of my favorite recipes are the mock danish (it's a great breakfast and also a nice after dinner treat), I also like the stuffed green peppers on Linda's site. I wasn't a big stuffed pepper eater until I started here, now I love them. I also eat one of Elizellen's recipes quite often, I had it today....It's sliced (long way not in chips) zucchini brushed with bacon grease and microwaved until tender - add ham or bacon and cheese on top and microwave until the cheese is melted. At lunch I put 1 tsp of salsa on top for a little more flavor...it's another favorite of mine - and pretty cheap to make.

Elizellen, thank you also for stopping in - I always enjoy seeing who has come and said hello. As of this morning I got out of bed and back on plan. I'm back to induction for a few days until I can get my body back into keotsis, then I'll go back to Rung 3 where I had been. My weight is back up and my blood sugar numbers were high again, from not eating correctly since Friday morning. It's amazing how something like a concussion, a few stitches, bumps and bruises can throw you for a loop. I'm normally so strong and just say "ouch" and move on -- this one wasn't as easy but I've done what the doctor said so now I've got to get back to what I can control.

Breakfast:
I had 1 egg, 1/2oz onion, 1oz green pepper and 1 slice deli ham scrambled together with 1/2 oz cheddar cheese and 1 tsp salsa melted on top.

Lunch:
Zucchini strips with bacon grease, deli ham and cheese melted on top (1 oz swiss and 1/2 oz cheddar) and 1tsp salsa on top.

Dinner:
Minute steak with 1/2 green onion sliced on top, 1tsp mayo, 1 tsp sugar free relish and 1/2 tsp low carb ketchup mixed together to dip the minute steak into. Spinach w/vinegar, creamed turnips and a small salad with 1Tbsp Hidden Valley Ranch dressing.

It was a good eating day!!

I just had my danish and coffee for breakfast - it is a good change of pace. I'm on Day 2 of induction also (trying to get back into keotsis) I refuse to get on the scale until at least next Monday - that will be a week and we'll see if I've gotten the weight back off I gained over the weekend.

Hope all is going well for you. We're going to have fried chicken (breast or thighs - haven't made up my mind yet) for dinner. Last night we had minute steaks (no cracker breading like my mother & the hubs ate), creamed turnips, canned spinach and a salad. It was wonderful tasting!!

I drink decaf so I have a cup in the morning and one after dinner....we started drinking decaf 4 years ago when my husband had triple bypass, so I'm use to drinking it and it doesn't bother me.

Well, I'm on my 2nd 32oz of water today -- 3 more to go.

Well here is day 2 of Induction and doing good. I am going to town to get some keto stix. I can't find the ones I had before and they are probably expired anyway. I baked up a bag of chicken thighs today and will use them for my lunches this week. We are having catfish nuggets for supper tonight and since I had a 2 cup salad at lunch today I will just do up a small bit of cauiflower for supper with the fish. With only having that amount of veg in the salad I am having a hard time figuring out how to get enough calories in. 2 cups of salad is not much so hard to make it 15 of the 20 carbs..lol..My FitDay looks alright though averaging
around the 60% fat, 37% protein and 5-8% carbs
