Why don't you eat green beans? They are on the "other" veggie list (listed as string beans).....I eat them all the time, along with broccoli, cauliflower, turnips and canned spinach.....those are really my "go to" veggies. I add other veggies from time to time but those are the ones I eat the most.
yep I cooked it on the grill but just did not like it. But I do like the green beans. I was just trying out other veg that I had not had to see how it went. I figure it can't hurt to experiment with the veg we are allowed. I might find something I really like, like the spaghetti squash.

As for the crystal light I just thought it would make a nice treat in all this heat but if you think it is going to cause problem with the weight loss I will ditch it as well..Guess that means no diet pop either. or the SF/FF jello mmm

Ok off for more water

Heidi -- you can try those items and see if you have any trouble for you -- I know I have a problem with them so I steer clear of them. Dr. Atkins also said products containing aspartame should be avoided. Hunts jello (in the jello aisle) is made with Splenda not aspartame. The few times I've felt the need for jello I've eaten one of them, it's what I buy for my husbands lunches. I've drank (not finished) 3 cans of Diet Rite soda since I started Atkins. I use to drink 4 - 5 - 6 of them a day before Atkins but I just can't seem to drink them now.

I just finished riding the bike (back to riding 25 miles - yea), ate lunch and had a delicious desert today -- I needed to get my carbs up today because I didn't eat much (carb wise) for breakfast.

Breakfast: 2 soft boiled eggs, 2 servings deli ham, coffee w/cream

Lunch: Roast Beef spread (ground roast beef, s/f relish & Hellman's) wrapped in a lettuce leaf, a cup of stew and for desert a pumpkin desert w/cream on top.

I'm going to make another later and have it cold tomorrow so the spices have more time to meld. I tried eating pumpkin when I was newer to Atkins but just didn't seem to like it that much. I decided since my tastes are constantly changing maybe it was time to try it again. I'm glad I did because today it really tasted good. I made enough cream for 2 servings so that's already for tomorrow.

Thank you Imagood1 for your help. I will try to fid the jello made with splenda and as for pop I really don't drink a lot of it but every once in a while I like a diet rootbeer. To give you an idea I bought a case of 12 on July 1st and still have 9 tins left. I have melted the popsicles and decided to find something else to make. I do like the mock danish but yesterday I had used up all my cheese on the pizza( well worth it)
I had moch cinnamon crunch for breakfast..only used 1 tbsp of cream with 1 cup of water and ½ oz of bacon rinds with Davinci vanilla for the sweetner. It was very good
for lunch I had a 1.7 oz romaine lettuce,.6oz radishes,1 oz green pepper and 2 oz turkey breast, and made a dressing from 1 TBSP of mayo,1 tsp of ranch dressing(has only 1 carb for 2 tbsp)and 1 tsp of horsradish. It was all very good..saved some of my allotted salad to go with my porkchop and green beans for supper.

We had pork ribs for dinner (country style), fried cabbage and broccoli for dinner...it was delicious!!!

After I got the dishwasher filled and started Mom, Sadie and I went on another walk (I went this afternoon alone, they went tonight). This is the first time in about a week I've felt like I have any stamina to do anything - it's nice again!

This afternoon after my walk I made another pumpkin desert to have tomorrow. It really tasted good today and I thought since I opened the can (had to get the big size because they didn't have any of the small cans) I better make up another bunch so it doesn't go bad. I put an ounce of cream cheese in it this time, when I made it before I didn't and it just didn't taste creamy enough for me....so I added the cream cheese, 1oz cream, cinnamon, ground cloves and ground ginger (Pumpkin Pie Spices) and microwaved it for 2 minutes. Much better than the original recipe I was told about.

Have a great Atkins day!!

It's Friday -- 125 miles on the bike this week ..... I feel good about that accomplishment.

Breakfast: 1egg, 1/2oz of pepper & onion, 1 oz cheese, 1 tsp salsa, 32oz water & cup of coffee w/splenda

rode the bike 25 miles in 1 hour 50 minutes (I've now dropped a half hour off my
original time....before it took me 2 hours 20 minutes to ride but since I don't get
off and rest so much I'm on and off much quicker.

Lunch: can of tuna 1 Tbsp s/f relish, 1 tsp Hellmans, 1 large leaf lettuce, 1 slice deli deluxe cheese microwaved and crunched into the tuna salad, 32 oz water.

Saturday -- we had a couple storms come through during the night that I got up and watched but they weren't that bad so I wasn't up long. I got to sleep in a little this morning which is always nice!! Went downstairs and talked to the hubs until almost 3:00 this morning so it was nice to be able to sleep in.

I only rode the bike 15 miles today -- decided to take it easy since it's the weekend -- we took the long walk this afternoon with Sadie....I'm going to go for another in a little while.

We've been picking tomatoes, green beans and onions out of the garden for a couple weeks. We brought in 5 more tomatoes today, 8 ounces of grape tomatoes, 18 ounces of green beans and 4 - 3inch around onions. It's so nice to have fresh produce on the table each day.

Monday is my new weigh in day -- I hope I've done well this week....I've love a pound loss (or more - hey, a girl can always wish!!).

Have a great weekend!!

Well, I lost the pound I wished for....yea for me!! The next pound I loose I'm in new territory -- I get to 184, something happens and I gain....then I get back to 184 something happens again.....I know how to loose this pound - now it's time to loose a new one! I've decided to shake things up - starting with my signature stuff, maybe that's what I need to get past this number.

I'm still fighting my sinus' but I'm pretty sure I'm winning this time....hopefully!! On the days I mow I'm worse because I'm out in it and get the pollen in my nose so I sneeze and snort and am miserable (that was today).

I had my first BLT today for lunch....no starch -- I smeared Hellman's on an iceberg lettuce leaf added tomato and bacon and wrapped it up -- DELICIOUS....the tomatoes out of the garden are so juice and taste so good.....yum! We might have them again tomorrow...LOL. We had 8 more tomatoes in the window waiting to be eaten.

I'm making a menu for tomorrow because I seem to do better when I know automatically what I'm going to eat -- if I think about it I don't do well!!

Breakfast will be: 2 egg omelet made with 1oz onion/1oz orange pepper, 1oz cheddar cheese & 1 tbsp salsa. 32oz water and 1 cup decaf (no splenda or cream)

Lunch: BLT - iceberg lettuce smeared with hellman's, topped with tomato and bacon slices - wrapped up like an eggroll, 1 cup fresh green beans. Cheese chips (made from 1 slice deli deluxe cheese slices) and 32oz water.

Dinner: Roast, canned spinach w/vinegar, 1 cup salad w/ranch dressing.

We'll see if that does the trick -- I'll have to put everything into Fitday in the morning and make sure it's enough food & everything else......

Have a great Atkins day!

I'm going to try your BLT tomorrow. I have a few tomatoes from the garden and I really love bacon so it should be yummy. Thanks for the idea. Eva
