My 14th day on induction. My total weight loss was 9.5, and i am so happy. I had 2 challenges over the weekend. Hubbies work recognition dinner and we went to Red lobster on Sunday. I feel great. I don't feel deprived on this way of eating. It seems real natural. I am going to stay on induction for awhile. I want to see if the weight will continue to come off at a good rate. I will be happy with 1-2 pounds a week. Any weight off is good. Sandy

Hi, guys! Sorry I haven't been around for awhile but we just bought an old house and have been spending our days clearing it out. The place was literally packed with everything under the sun! I have been really getting some exercise lugging all those boxes of stuff up and down stairs and sorting it all out. The sale starts tomorrow and continues until next week, maybe longer.

It was my mother-in-law's homestead. She's 84 years old and yesterday, in the attic, she found a beautiful photo of her father. It was in that brown, sepia color that old photos had and in an oval frame with convex glass over it. She cried when she saw it and had all of us in tears! She only ever had one small pic of him before.

I need to get back over there. Have a great day everyone!

hi everyone -- I've been MIA for almost 2 weeks...fighting a cold/flu whatever it was. Feeling better but still not back to normal, still very weak and woozy but at least I'm out of bed again today. I did get up Tuesday and mowed.....bad idea - back in bed yesterday but this morning I got up and took a shower, dressed and decided it was time to stop all this nonsense...lol.

I'm going to wait a couple days to start exercising, when I lean over I get lightheaded so it's best to wait until that passes. I drank my water everyday while I was sick - it was the only thing that made me feel good. My eating is off so I'll be back on induction -- didn't really eat anything I shouldn't have (was tempted but didn't) but I wasn't eating well enough. I'm sick of soup...lol!!!

Hope everyone is well and getting along fine on plan.

Good rainy day everyone! Well, I'm getting back to "regular" food now, and it's great! Just had a "loaded" burger, (I've forgotten where I got that idea from) for lunch and it was so delicious! I was over in another town about 40 min. away shopping in a yarn outlet, I was in heaven! Unfortunately (but fortunately for the change purse ), I left most of my patterns at home, taking only the booklet my expecting daughter had given me. Couldn't find any of the colours she was wanting, but I'm sure she'll like the ones I did find. Then I went to a department store (Zellers, for all you Canucks out there ) and picked up some Halloween candy. I put the boxes, still in the Zellers bags, away in the front hall closet so I'm not even tempted. I think we may go down to our daughter's place and give the candy out there. She'll be alone, and on call at the hospital, so we can keep her company...and I'll knit ...
Dear hubby is in Toronto today on business with 3 other guys, so likely he won't be hungry when he gets home, but I'm making a small pork roast with cauliflower made up into Linda's recipe for "Just Like Stuffed Baked Potatoes". That should be plenty, as well as delicious.
Tomorrow, Hubby and I are heading to Guelph to see my Podiatrist, so he can get started on my new orthotics. Nothing like sore feet to put you off walking! Then we'll scoot over to Waterloo to see how Ben is doing. He told me he's eaten pizza a couple of times!! I'll have to check my cheese supply and see if I have enough to make some of Linda's crusts up, then take them with us for him. He can add toppings later. I really don't want him to gain any weight while he's at school. Although yesterday afternoon I called him and then last night had to call him again. We had discussed his food intake in the afternoon and I made a few suggestions. Then last night he said that after speaking with me earlier, he'd gone to the Bulk Barn and got some more cocoa so he can make his shakes in the morning. He also said he'd made stuffed half peppers to eat, which is a good thing.
Well, I must carry on, I have ironing to do and knitting too
Have a great day everyone,

Suzanne

Suzanne - I'm so envious - I love to knit and I LOVE yarn. I crochet more often [large afghans] - but always have a knitted project going too. What are you knitting for the baby? I would love to be home knitting - rainy here too!

Hi barrnone! I'm actually going to start an afghan that is single crocheted in squares then put together. The yarn is Bernat Baby Coordinates, using 2 strands throughout, and 4 colours. I used dark lilac, light lilac, white and medium teal. My daughter wanted grey, cream, brown and one other colour!! Sorry dear, baby yarn doesn't come in those colours, and I couldn't find an equivalent yarn to use either, so .....I was very hard pressed NOT to buy some sweet patterns and different marbled yarns to make into adorable little sweaters and hats!! Lordy, they even have stretch baby yarns now.... Good thing the store is 40 min. away Now that I've gone and looked in my shopping bag again, I've realized I DID buy another pattern, of a lovely hooded or collared jacket type sweater for ages 3 months to 6 years. It has a thick rib yoke, cabled body and button front, very nice. It's a double knitting yarn so I may have some downstairs in my stash that I can use for this one Just as I was paying for my yarn, I noticed that they also sell fabric which was 30% off till the end of the month, so, I may be making another trip over with my baby sewing patterns. (this is so much fun!!!) Some of the other patterns in the afghan book Jenni gave me are knitted, but I may try substituting some of my stashed yarn. Then I also have 2 knitting machines, a fine knitter with no ribber bed, and a bulky that has a ribber bed. Haven't used either one in years, probably 20 years, so now it's time to dig them out. Too bad I have to work now and then, I'd be knitting and sewing all the time like I did when my own kids were small. Anyway, guess I'd better get over to Fitday. Have a great rainy day barrnone!

Suzanne
