| Hey Repo -- welcome back!!! I agree, us "old farts" are burning up the track here! Good luck to you -- Here is a little information I hope will refresh your memory and help get you going again. Stay away from the shakes and bars (they are NOT legal on induction) - eat a variety of foods, get your fats, carbs and protein in daily, drink plenty of pure water (nothing added), take your supplements and exercise. Check the STAC for additional support Second Time Around Club - Atkins Diet. We also have challenges for members to join, some are exercise related and some aren’t. Also start a journal and post your thoughts along the way. Also check out the "Over 50" area -- we are a small group but we try to post and keep each other going. | Well, hey now - how old is old farts? I just turned forty! I feel like an old fart sometimes. Especially, when my teens roll their eyes at me. Oh, Mom, so stupid. No, they don't say it, but... oh, they are.

| it's saturday and a new day...going to the gym, ate my eggs......meditated, visulized, used some positive reinforcement(most of my problem is mental because i've done sooooooo maney diets and have lost wieght and then put it back on). this forum is something i need to look at every am to start my day!!!! funny i'm listening to the radio and early Chicago from the 70's(i think i remember the early 70's) and the song was Beginnings and they kept repeating" only the beginning,,,only the beginning" i take that as a sign.......LET'S ROCK AN ROLL!!!!!!!

| I agree with you repoman, because most of my problem is mental too. I just started back to meditation and visualization and am hoping to get my head back around this dieting thing. Here's wishing us both luck! |

| I listen to 70's music when I'm exercising --- that's the best tempo to do things. My Zen is filled with Disco, Rock, Country, Pop -- you name it, if it was 70's it's on there!! I'm glad you come here everyday and have it help get your day started!! The people here are so wonderful - I don't think I could do this if not for them!! Keep going you're doing great!!
