That made me howl out loud with laughter.
Seriously though, I really don't know what to make of Hopejoy's reply. I can only imagine that she is unaware that many terms used for food items in "USA English" are not in use over here, or have different names. When reading other people's menus to get some quick ideas (I have to do everything quickly as I am so busy) it's hopeless, because they are full of these items.
Hence I started this thread hoping someone could point me in the direction of some British daily sample menus. I have asked a few individuals but so far no one has come up with any.
I will try to find some examples of what I do not understand or cannot buy, Hopejoy.
