This time around is day 7 now. I wrote a post about coffee before and that's what I thought was staling me but it was actually the eggs I was having at work. I asked if they use milk and of course they said no but a co worker of mine who knew I was on atkins said she saw them getting the eggs from a box so I knew right away they had to have some artificial ingredients to preserve them. This week I woke up 20 minutes early everyday and made my own breakfast (usually 3 eggs with 2 slices of cheese and 1/4 cup of mushroom and 3 or 4 strips of bacon or sausage). I still have my cup of coffee with cream but I use splenda instead of sweet n low and I use 3 packets instead of 5. I know that it doesn't matter what shade of ketosis you're in as long as it turns color but it was very discouraging not seeing it change trace when my mom can get into light purple in 4 days. I ate the same thing every day to try and determine what it could have been and sure enough it had to be the eggs because my lunch and dinner stayed the same. So glad I don't have to give up my coffee but I know I shouldn't be having it. I will try to limit it to 3 cups a week instead of 5 and eventually eliminate ot all together. Thanks guys!!! I love the support in this forum.
I think you are right about the eggs, but as a food broker I can tell you that prepacked raw eggs have no milk. They are usually preserved with Citric Acid. So when you move up the rungs you should not be afraid of the dairy because of the eggs

Great Job,

Julie
