Hi Dave...I too am type 2 diabetic taking meds and 2 insulin injections daily. I started atkins 2 weeks ago and in 1 week I had stopped having my injections and have halved my blood pressure meds. Hope this gives u an idea of how great this woe is for us diabetics. My blood sugars are perfect and stable and I feel great. Of course you should never stop taking your meds without your doctors support. I am so lucky to have a great doctor who supports me 100% on my weight loss journey with atkins. I wish I hadn't waited 5 yrs to do this.
