Hello.

I'm just reading this today--my second day on induction. I made it to 5 days two weeks ago, but then had a migraine and fell off.

This may seem weird, but if anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it. I didn't have any induction flu, just a few craving the first 2-3 days. But I had a problem getting enough calories!! I didn't feel hungry. I kept to the recommended percentages--but it was difficult to keep the fat up. I have a freezer full of all kinds of low fat meat and feel bad about buying more with a freezer (large) full. So, I ate a lot of mayo.
I used FitDay--great tool. My BMR is 1480, so, I am supposed to eat at least that many calories. By the fourth and fifth days, I was kinda getting week (I assume because of lack of adequate calories-1200 to 1500). Days 4 & 5's calories kept dropping. Then my migraine hit, and with everything at once, I just at anything.
Since July 4 was approaching, I decided to wait until 7/7 to start over. Any suggestions on how to increase the calories? I use bacon/grease, butter, cream cheese, heavy cream, full fat cheeses. I even broke down and bought chicken legs with skins on them (freezer has boneless/skinless chicken breasts only).
Another note, I was slightly in ketosis on day 2 (previous time), and really in on day 3 and beyond.
Thanks.
BTW - not severely overweight (25 lbs) but I have never been this much over plus being unable to lose-even gaining more. Chalk it up to perimenopause.
